Week St. Mary Church Choir

Church Choir

Play a short example of the choir singing

Week St. Mary church choir was formed in 2000 and made their debut on Easter Sunday. Mrs Higgins from Hayscott kindly donated money in memory of her late husband, Albert, and material for robes and music books were purchased and blessed by Revd Rob. The maroon robes were made by three members of the choir.
The choir are former members of the Royal School of Music and have had the privilege to sing at Choral festivals at Truro Cathedral.
The choir consists of 2 junior members and 11 regular senior members with Lucy and Sarah Morwood joining the choir when available. The choir mistress is Mrs Gail Morwood.
The choir has sung at various United Benefice services, Deanery festivals, weddings and carol services ably accompanied by Mr John Hopkinson the Church organist.

Dedicated to perfection we practice each week. In the cold winter months we have the use of the Methodist Sunday School room and are exceedingly grateful to them.     Hilda Axford (Secretary)
