The Quilting Group

A group of ladies meet every Tuesday during the winter at the Methodist Sunday Schoolroom to spend the afternoon sewing.

The material is donated so there is minimal expense. One week you could be sewing patchwork pieces together and the next week quilting.

All this is done with great enthusiasm over a cup of tea and a chat.

The finished articles are put on display in the Parish Church at the annual Craft Fair in August and hopefully sold.

During the last three winters of sewing money raised has amounted to over £2000 which has been shared between the Combined Churches in the Village (Parish Church and Methodist Chapel).

Anyone is welcome to join in (even if you can't thread a needle) 2pm every Tuesday.
